Steering Committee Meeting – 30 May 2006

The purpose of this meeting was to form the Abuja Branch of the NFS officially. The meeting was held at the Sinoni restaurant. Following is a summary of the meeting:

We agreed to abide by the by-laws of the NFS.

We agreed to adopt the rules and regulations of the Lagos Branch for now.

We agreed to charge 2000N per person dues.

We agreed that all those present, Roland, Klaus, Kyle, Roman, Petra & Alan(sp?), and David will join the Lagos branch in order to split off into the Abuja branch.

We agreed to hold a general membership meeting Wednesday 21 June at 7:30 pm at the Horse Club – announcements to be made in Abuja Briefs, Abuja Expats, and View from the Rock.

We agreed to take a Forming Committee reconnaissance trip to Nok Sunday 4 June.

We agreed to adopt the local lizard for our mascot!
