THE 2003 ABM AT BENIN
The tempo of activities at the Benin Branch was recently raised with the
hosting of the Annual Business Meeting for the year 2003 in Benin City. About 40
people attended the meeting.

The Branch is grateful to the Dean, Faculty of Education for the venue of the
ABM and the Director, Rubber Research Institute of Nigeria for the provision of
transport. We thank the Manager, Agricultural Development Programme, Benin City,
the Directors, Nigerian Institute For Oil Palm Research and Department of
Forestry, Ministry of Agriculture and Natural Resources, the General Manager,
Bendel Feed and Flour Mill, Ewu and the Manager, Alaghodaro Community Bank Ltd,
Benin City for financial assistance. The proprietor of the famous Ebohon
Cultural Centre, Benin City, Chief Osemwegie Ebohon graciously provided guest
houses for use by visiting members. We are grateful to the Vice Chancellor
(Prof. Abhulimen R. Anao) for sponsoring the refreshments, meals and drinks for
the 2003 ABM.
We also acknowledge the financial and moral support received from Ile-Ife and
Lagos branches. The words of encouragement and financial support by the National
Executive provided the necessary stimulus. We remain grateful.
